How are the Inc. 5000 Rankings Determined?
The Inc. 5000 is an annual ranking by Inc. Magazine that showcases the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. The selection process begins with an extensive application, where companies provide general information such as their founding date, CEO, and annual revenue. Only companies that are privately held, for-profit, and independent are eligible.
Once the application is submitted, revenue verification is conducted. A three-year revenue growth rate is determined using provided figures, and the companies are ranked. After this, an intensive vetting process ensures that only companies with strong reputations make it onto the list.
